U.S. Senate Confirms Paul Atkins as Next SEC Chair

On Wednesday, April 9, the Senate confirmed Paul Atkins as the next Chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in a 52-44 vote along party lines, replacing Acting Chairman Mark Uyeda. Atkins previously served as an SEC Commissioner from 2002 to 2008.
