Thomas Ewing is an associate on Data, Privacy and Security team in Washington, D.C. He has advised international government and private sector clients on data and artificial intelligence strategy, compliance, cybersecurity preparedness, and regulatory investigations.
Prior to joining King & Spalding, Thomas worked in leadership positions at non-profit and startup organizations using data analytics and artificial intelligence to research sanctions and export controls, forced labor compliance, environmental and physical as well as digital supply chain security. He has advised clients on compliance
with data breach response, AI policy development, and cybersecurity best practices, as well as regulations administered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, sanctions enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and export controls enforced by the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). Thomas serves as an officer in the US Naval Reserve, where he currently works on acquisition strategy.
